That might sound strange, but think of it like this a user can prove they are over 18 without having a copy of their ID stoed on a platform for ever, or prove they own tokens without showing their wallet balance etc.
It’s like answering a riddle that only someone with the answer could solve, but you don’t have to reveal the actual answer you just show that you know the answer without revealing it, this is how we avoid unnecessary data leaks.
There are a few types of ZKPs. The main one we use is a non-interactive ZK proof system called ZK-STARKs, it gives us scalability, security and quantum resistance.
